What drew me to Lisbon

In Lisbon, it was not one single landmark that interested me most. It was the mix of narrow alleys, color, local festivities, and the feeling that something small was always happening around the next corner. That is exactly the kind of city where I love walking with a camera.

For me, travel photography works best when it stays close to how a place actually feels.

Small everyday scenes

What I look for most are not big postcard moments, but small scenes from daily life. People passing through a warm patch of light, conversations at the edge of a square, decorations from a local festival, or a quiet gesture in a crowded street.

These are the moments that stay with me longer than the obvious sights.

Visual language, look, and mood

The visual language in this series is warm, lively, and built around those small fragments of everyday life. I like when a city feels alive in the images without becoming loud. Lisbon made that easy with its colors, its density, and the rhythm of the streets.

For me, these photos are less about documenting everything and more about preserving a certain atmosphere.

Why I keep photographing like this

Travel and street photography are a big part of why I keep my camera close even when there is no assignment. They sharpen how I observe people, timing, and light. And even if only very subtly, that way of seeing always finds its way back into how I photograph events and portraits.

Lisbon was one of those places that reminded me exactly why I enjoy that so much.
