Downhill at Semmering: A Camera Beside the Course
A mountain biker with a camera beside the course
I enjoy mountain biking myself. At a downhill race, I am also drawn to the control, feel and courage involved in each run. At Semmering, I could combine that interest with photographing from beside the course.
Dust, light and speed
What stayed with me most was the dust hanging in the sunlight. The riders were gone a moment later, while traces of their movement remained in the air.
I enjoy these brief moments that call for a quick response. The pictures are a personal impression of a day beside the course and a sport I enjoy away from the camera too.
