Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to questions that often come up before a shoot or an inquiry. The goal is to give you a clear sense of how I work and what to expect.

If your question is not listed here, just get in touch. Many details are easiest to sort out in a short, no-obligation conversation.

Booking & Quote

A good start should feel straightforward: first we get to know each other, then we define what fits you or your project best.

What kinds of shoots can I book you for?

You can generally book me for everything around portraits and people-focused photography. That ranges from artist portraits, couple sessions, and family photos to business portraits.

In a business context, that can also include team photos, social media content, event coverage, and similar formats.

How does an inquiry work?

The best way to start is by sending me your idea with a few key details. Helpful information is what the shoot is about, what the images are for, and whether you already have a date or a general direction in mind.

Maybe there is already something in my photography that speaks to you and gives us a starting point. And if not everything is clear yet, we can develop a direction or a small moodboard together.

Are short-notice inquiries possible?

Yes, often they are. The earlier you get in touch, the easier it is for me to secure your preferred date, but short-notice inquiries can still work well in many cases.

If timing is important, send me your time window right away and I can quickly tell you what is realistic.

Do you only work in Vienna or also in other locations?

Vienna is my base, but depending on the project we can also work in other places.

If a specific location matters for your project, we simply include that in the planning from the beginning.

Do you also shoot in a studio?

Yes, studio sessions are possible. If your project works better in a studio setting, I can arrange a suitable studio that I already know and trust.

Whether a studio or a natural environment is the better fit depends on the visual result you want.

Do you also offer video work for business clients?

Yes, especially in the business context and for event coverage, I also offer video production, for example for interviews, workshops, image films, or support for online meetings.

For a shoot or filming day, I can bring the full setup to the location, from light and sound to two cameras and a teleprompter.

Preparation

Especially before a first shoot, a clear structure helps. Preparation should make you feel more confident, not more stressed.

What should I wear for the shoot?

Calm colors and simple combinations usually work especially well in photos. Fewer patterns and logos create a quieter and more timeless look.

What matters most is that you feel comfortable. If you are unsure, feel free to send me outfit photos in advance or bring a few options with you, and we can decide together what works best.

What if I feel unsure in front of the camera?

That is completely fine and actually very common. You do not need any experience and you definitely do not have to know how to pose.

I do not work with rigid poses. Instead, I guide you through movement, small interactions, and a relaxed conversation. In most cases, the tension drops noticeably after just a few minutes.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, absolutely. If a companion gives you trust and confidence, that can actually enrich the shoot.

In a business context, that can also be useful when we want to show not only portraits, but also real interaction, conversation, or a working situation.

Process & Logistics

Not every shoot follows the same structure. What matters most is that location, timing, and atmosphere fit the result you want.

How do we find the right location?

What matters to me is that the place fits you and the images. That can be a location with personal meaning or simply an environment where you feel comfortable.

And if you do not have a specific place in mind yet, that is completely fine. I already know a number of locations with good light, so we can find a good option together.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If weather matters for the shoot, we naturally keep an eye on it. Depending on the idea, overcast conditions or even rain can work very well.

If the conditions no longer fit the planned setup, we adjust the location or find a new date together.

How long does a shoot usually take?

We define the time frame based on your ideas and what you want from the shoot.

From experience, though, we should usually plan at least 60 minutes of actual shooting time so that you end up with a strong and varied selection.

What do you need in advance from business clients?

For business clients, a clear schedule and a concrete use case matter most. The better we know in advance where the images or videos will be used, the more precisely I can work on site.

A vertical roll-up needs a different composition from a website hero image or social media content. That is why I already build those requirements into the preparation.

Images & Usage

After the shoot, the focus shifts to selection, editing, and how you want to use the final images.

When will I receive my photos?

I usually need a few days for editing. Depending on the scope of the shoot and my current workload, it can take a little longer.

If fast delivery is especially important for you, just let me know. Then I can take that into account and in some cases deliver first images as early as the next day.

How will I receive the final images?

You receive the final images through my online gallery. There you get a link that you can easily share and use to download the photos.

I generally deliver the images in high resolution so they are also suitable for larger prints. If you need additional versions for a specific use case, we can naturally take that into account.

How does image selection work with you?

I take care of the final image selection. Depending on the shoot, though, we often have time on site to briefly look at the camera together and I can already show you a few images.

For me, it is always helpful to hear what you respond to. I keep that in mind directly and make sure that this direction is reflected in the final selection.

How do you edit your images?

My images have a natural look without heavy retouching. It matters to me that people and situations still feel real.

The visual tone can still shift slightly depending on the project: business work may look cleaner and more neutral, while couple sessions can feel warmer or sometimes work especially well in black and white.

What applies to usage rights for private and business clients?

For private shoots, the usage rights are generally included for you.

For business clients, usage for self-promotion on websites, social media, presentations, and editorial coverage is usually included in my offers. Paid campaigns are handled separately with an additional usage fee, depending on the scope.
